Who we are

African Cycling Experiences (ACE) is a UK Registered company, affiliated to a Cycling South Africa registered Cycling Club, who welcome like-minded people to enjoy the best cycling experiences and events Africa has to offer, all hosted by a caring friendly group with deep experience in hosting cycling events and tours with enjoyable scenic rides and events in a safe, secure and socially enjoyable environment  

Cape Town by night
Our standard package from November to March each year

6 nights and 7 days in 4 star accommodation

4 nights in Cape Town (Sea Point area with close access to all the major tourist attractions, bars, restaurants)

2 nights in Franschhoek, Winelands

Optional 3 nights ultimate safari experience

 A trip with ACE is a fantastic opportunity to maintain fitness and enjoy a variety of experiences in South Africa, a country known for its awesome cycling and favorable weather conditions during the European winter. With no jet lag between Europe and South Africa, you can seamlessly transition and make the most of your time with us. 


We cycle in the mornings after breakfast and the afternoons/evenings are set aside to do your own thing or join our sightseeing/social events. Our rides include a bike mechanic,  group leaders, and a follow vehicle to ensure a safe and enjoyable cycling experience for everyone.


The itinerary caters to both cyclists and non-cyclists offering a well-rounded experience, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the sights and activities at their own pace.

The inclusion of sightseeing options like Table Mountain, authentic African restaurants, wine tasting trips, and the optional add-on of a 3-day Big Five Safari provides a diverse array of experiences beyond cycling.

Some of our tour dates include major road races  (see Cycle Event links for details) adding an exciting dimension to the trip, allowing cyclists to challenge themselves and experience the local cycling culture.

The Cycling Experience

 * 2 varied level expert guided groups each morning, challenge yourself or take it easy – your daily choice (afternoons/evenings reserved for rest and cultural experience!)
* Endurance style road cycling from 70km to 125km (group dependent).
* Make new friends riding in a friendly group environment
* Support vehicle following you all the way while cycling, to ensure everyone gets home safely every day

 * Special itinerary around the world's largest cycle event, Cape Town Cycle Tour on 9th March 2025 (please enquire for more details)

The Cultural experience

* Wine tastings at our best wine farms
